We pride ourselves in the ability to save our customers money from concept and throughout course of construction. Our in-house Certified Green Design Professional meets with our clients to define the scope of the project, including detailing client's vision, and budget definition. Having our own Drafting Support allows us to keep construction cost down, using "Design for Building" concepts, that is achieved from many years of building experience and keeping pace with construction technology through continued education and research.

We constantly update our skills to meet the dynamic challenges faced both in protecting the environment and meeting or exceeding building codes, which are in constant flux.. Our design and drafting specialist provides Certified green professional design services, offering Eco friendly building solutions sensitive to the Lake Tahoe (Including TRPA Best Management Practices - BMPs, and runoff control mitigation measures required during course of construction) and global environments.

Excavation & Demolition Contracting

At Jim Costalupes General Contractor company, we perform our own excavation work and due to our experience and equipment inventory we subcontract to other contractors in the area. Excavation and demolition in the Lake Tahoe region poses many unforeseen challenges.

The window of opportunity to excavate in the Lake Tahoe Basin is very short, due to regulations imposed by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), to mitigate site disturbance preventing erosion during winter months. Due to this short period (May 1^st through October 15^th), it is important to have the proper equipment and crew in place to schedule and excavate as soon as permits are approved. Due to the environmental sensitivity and the possibility of unearthing large boulders, special equipment is a must to meet these challenges in a timely manner.

Snow Removal (Residential, Business and Construction Sites)

One advantage to owning such a large inventory of earth moving vehicles, is to perform Snow Removal maintenance on contractual or "On-call" basis.
